Position Summary
Key Objectives:- To minimize the legal risk for SEIL operations in Israel
- To increase compliance awareness for SEIL employees
Purpose of the job:
- Manage SEIL Legal and Compliance activity in ISRAEL and assist RHQ and HQ and respond to the queries.
Role and Responsibilities
The successful applicant is responsible for:
Legal:
- Overseeing high-stakes commercial and class action claims and litigation strategy.
- Negotiate, write, and execute agreements and contracts.
- Offer counsel on a variety of legal issues including but not limited to consumer-related regulation.
- Advise executives within the company and work alongside employees in Strategic Business Units, Marketing, Sales, HR…etc
- Manage various projects and deadlines.
- Advise executives on contract status, legal risks, and business terms of various deals.
- Assist with global joint ventures, strategic partnership deals, and draft terms and conditions in agreements.
- Ensure legal objectives are met.
- Research unique legal issues impacting the organization by identifying applicable statutes.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its affiliates.
- Perform pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights.
- Develop solutions to complex legal questions.
Compliance and Privacy:
- Managing and executing the Compliance Program
- Promoting, facilitating, and monitoring compliance in Israel
- Acting as an advisor to the business on Compliance
- Reporting to the management on compliance matters
- Monitoring and tracking all compliance-related findings and issues and working with the business to resolve them
- Monitoring, communicating and coordinating the implementation of any new regulatory developments
- Assessing and informing the business regarding compliance-related issues
- Updating and maintaining Compliance policies, procedures, materials and manuals
- Maintaining a Compliance education program; delivering education programs as required
- Conducting compliance risk assessments of changes in legislation
- Communicating with HQ, RHQ Compliance teams.
- Preparing Compliance reports
- Reviewing advertisements and promotional material if compliant.

Experience, Education and Licensure
- University degree in Law from a reputable university, Master degree is an advantage.
- At least 5 years’ experience as a legal counsel of Multi National Company – MUST!
- Experience as a lawyer with a Top Tier Law Firm – Advantage.
- Telecom/ Technology/Consumer goods or Regulatory background is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- A strong track record of balancing a corporate Controllership with significant ad hoc project experience.
- Litigation experience in Israel
- Excellent communication skills.
Language Skills
- Hebrew
- English – MUST
