What You'll Be Working On (Duties include but not limited to):
- Employment and Workplace
- Provide advice and support to our People team, HR Business Partners and the business on a broad range of global employment and workplace issues (currently U.S., Canada, European Union, and Brazil with potential for expansion) including hiring, terminations, performance management, leaves of absence, investigations, accommodations, organizational design, and other employment-related matters.
- Collaborate with other lawyers on the team with respect to advice and counseling provided to HR and other cross-functional partners.
- Collaborate with senior leaders in work on employment-related projects, including internal process reviews, new policy implementation, and training programs.
- Draft and edit employment-related documents, correspondence, agreements, processes and policies.
- Assess legal risk and provide solutions for resolving workplace and employment disputes.
- Assist in pre-litigation and litigation efforts including evidence gathering and analysis, legal research, discovery, pleading review, deposition prep, and outside legal counsel management.
- Respond to third-party subpoenas and assist with record requests.
- Participate in the creation and delivery of training related to employment law matters.
- Stay informed of regulatory and legislative changes and other employment law developments and advise stakeholders on legal changes and developments.
- Build and manage relationships with external counsel efficiently.
- Analyze employment-related contracts in response to business questions and provide advice and research information to business executives and others in Legal to assist with business decisions.
- Corporate Law and Transactions
- Maintain corporate files for related entities and affiliates, including preparing drafts of board resolutions, filing periodic disclosures, and meeting corporate requirements for the relevant jurisdiction.
- Research various legal issues related to corporate law and transactions.
- Assist with M&A transactions, from due diligence to closing, coordinating andcollaborating with internal teams and externalcounsel.
- Develop deep business knowledge to provide clear legal recommendations to internal stakeholdersregarding potential corporate structures, transactions, and other corporate matters.
- Assist with updating contract templates and contract review as needed.

Physical Requirements:
- This role requires 100% of work to be performed in a remote office environment and requires the ability to use keyboards and other computer equipment.
Travel Requirements:
- This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role.

- Proper home office set-up including a private space for legal communication and high-speed internet (at minimum: 100MB up and 15 MB down, 5 GHz router).
- For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
Certifications, Education, and Experience:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) and active bar membership in good standing
- 3-6+ years of experience in Employment or Corporate Law
- The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of workplace law and/or previous experience in human resources.
Licenses:
- Active law license in at least one U.S. state, with eligibility for in-house practice in your state of residence.
