JOB SUMMARY
You will play a critical role in developing and implementing a costing model for Specialized, to help provide insights and deliver optimized end-to-end costs. You will work closely with cross functional teams, such as Product Development, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Supply Chain and other stakeholders to deep dive processes, activities, and key cost drivers to identify opportunities and manage cost throughout the product lifecycle. Key part of this role will be driving education and processes to deliver “should-cost” thinking and approaches.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
• Work cross functionally to understand the current state of of costing and our supplier contracts
• Benchmark and develop an understanding of engineered part cost including “should” cost for new product introductions
• Develop end-to-end cost modeling and “should” cost driven by engineered standard and actual input/part costs
• Collaborate with cross functional partners to develop and drive the strategic roadmap for implementation including processes, negotiation strategies, and organizational capabilities
• Project manage the implementation of the costing model
• Provide regular analysis, insights, and recommendations at key stages throughout the product life cycle.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify cost saving opportunities, set target, track progress and implement necessary actions.
• Act as a strategic partner with the Sourcing team to optimize supplier relationships, assist in negotiating favorable terms, and drive cost efficiencies.
• Engage with the Product Management team to understand design implications on costs and provide informed recommendations for optimizing cost.
• Engage with the Finance team to ensure alignment between cost analysis and financial planning, providing accurate and timely cost-related information.
• Drive continuous cost improvement projects to enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Any other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in cost analytics, modeling, and scenario simulation.
• Familiarity with end-to-end value chain from product development to end of life mgmt
• Proven ability to lead with a continuous improvement mindset to deliver cost efficiency projects and results.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate an intellectual curiosity and a passion to learn and work as part of a high performing team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across nationalities and functional teams and lead through influence
• Experience working with manufacturing suppliers and negotiating costing models
• Master in excel, knowledge in Oracle, SAP, Tableau is a plus.
• Experience in electronic consumer goods a plus
• English (fluent)
