Due to continued growth within our Ireland Project & Development Services business, we are seeking to appoint a Cost Manager to support the expansion of our Cost Consultancy capability across the Irish market.
This is a growth-driven appointment, offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping and scaling our cost management service line. You will work closely with senior leadership across Ireland and collaborate with UK and EMEA counterparts to deliver high-quality commercial advice to leading occupier and investor clients.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of sectors including commercial office, mixed-use, industrial & logistics, life sciences, retail and refurbishment/repositioning projects.
Role PurposeProvide professional cost management and commercial advisory services across the full project lifecycle.
Support the continued growth and diversification of the PDS Ireland service offering.
Deliver high-quality cost planning, procurement and post-contract services to a range of high-profile clients.
Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
Prepare detailed cost plans and feasibility estimates.
Advise on procurement strategies and route-to-market approaches.
Lead tender documentation preparation and manage tender processes.
Provide value engineering advice and cost benchmarking analysis.
Undertake risk assessments and cost modelling.
Administer contracts and manage financial reporting.
Prepare interim valuations, cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
Assess and agree variations and final accounts.
Monitor project budgets and ensure financial control is maintained.
Act as key day-to-day client contact on allocated projects.
Support fee proposals and contribute to bid submissions.
Identify cross-selling opportunities across the wider PDS offering.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and consultants.
Collaborate with Project Management and Building Consultancy teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Support mentoring and development of junior team members.
Contribute to the strategic growth of Cost Consultancy within Ireland.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar.
Chartered or working towards chartership (MRICS or equivalent).
Experience within a consultancy environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of Irish construction market and procurement routes.
Experience across commercial or mixed-use developments advantageous.
Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
Strong report writing and analytical capability.
