Job Summary
As the Cost Accountant, your performance and contributions will help the department achieve the following goals and objectives: (1) Transform Processes: your support will lead us to continue to streamline our close process; (2) Improve Working Capital: provide insights to operations to reduce DIO; (3) Support Revenue Growth: your support related to integration of new acquisitions will help drive topline growth, and (4) Career Development work with your manager to develop a career roadmap creating a clear path to be a future accounting leader.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze work order variances and articulate findings to Cost Accounting Managers.
- Record all standard monthly cost entries, including but not limited to; manufacturing variances; cost reclasses, demo inventory management, inventory accruals, and Inventory reserves.
- Provides weekly cost of poor-quality reporting to Operations
- Support Cost Accounting Managers with annual standard cost setting process
- Monitors cycle count program. Ensures counts are being performed and alerts the Cost Accounting Managers of non-compliance
- Plays a key role in annual physical inventories.
- Supports inventory reserve analysis by providing various monthly reports to Operations for slow moving inventory reviews.
Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Management Information Systems
- 2-3 years of relevant cost accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- ERP standard costing/inventory experience, strong preference for Oracle and SAP experience

- 5%

- Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
- Ability to use vison to read computer screen and read printed materials
