Job Summary:

The Cost Accountant should be strategic, a team player with a positive attitude, be proactive, manage complex tasks, and possess a high attention to detail. The Cost Accountant must have the ability to collaborate with peers and management and demonstrate exceptional judgement and a high degree of professional maturity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily and annual standard cost process and requests
• Reviews financials to govern appropriateness and compliance to support plant initiatives and functions
• Prepare daily reports to maintain and facilitate plant requests
• Assist with forecasting and budgetary process
• Report on variances while determining the root cause and corrective actions
• Supports annual PI, inventory audits, and related reconciliations
• Review and provide capital expenditure reporting
• Generate and distribute Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
• Facilitate accounting month end close process. Actions such as analysis, reconciliations, performing journal entries, and audit controls
• Perform GRNI functions and analysis
• Completes all reports on a timely basis per parameters with zero discrepancies
• History of taking initiative and being solution-oriented
• Proactively seeks out ways to improve processes and accuracy and drive productivity
• Support compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and related audits

Key Competencies

• Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; advanced degree or chartered certification (CMA, CFA, CPA) is a plus
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Exceptional analytical skills
• 1 to 2+ Years in Manufacturing Finance with direct costing accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP and SOX preferred
• Strong PC skills (Excel, Access, Power-Point) required
• Experience with Hyperion Consolidation tools a plus
• Proven ability to work well in a cross-functional and remote environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple critical projects in a fast paced environment
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization
