Description of Work

This position is located at Dan River Prison Work Farm in Blanch, NC (Caswell County) a minimum custody male facility and reports directly to the Associate Warden of Programs.
Key Duties Included:
- Directing programs for the rehabilitation of offenders in the prison system. 
- Administering programs for offenders where the primary programs areas are offender classification; correctional programs (including work release, incentive wage, educational/vocational, volunteer programs, religion, cognitive-based interventions, and recreation); and correctional supportive counseling.
- Coordinating programs with custody and other facility staff.

Salary Range: $43,267.00 - 75,718.00

About The Division of Institutions:

The Division of Institutions manages the daily operations of all state-operated prison facilities across North Carolina. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions. The division provides safety, security, and rehabilitative services through trained custody staff, program facilitators, and administrative personnel.

Bachelor’s degree in a human services or criminal justice field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in correctional programs management or related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
