Morgan Stanley’s Corporate Treasury team in Budapest is hiring a Legal & Regulatory Compliance (Senior) Associate to support the Firm’s Recovery and Resolution Planning program across jurisdictions.
This role is ideal for professionals with a background in compliance, regulatory affairs, governance, or legal analysis who want to move beyond pure advisory work and into a role focused on regulatory execution, documentation quality, and senior‑level governance.

As part of the Finance division, you'll play a crucial role in managing, analyzing, and advising on the Firm’s financial and capital resources.
Corporate Treasury is at the heart of our financial strategy, providing corporate finance advisory services to senior management and internal business units. We optimize the Firm’s liquidity and capital base, manage interest rate and foreign exchange exposure, and coordinate relationships with regulators, rating agencies, and creditors. The RRP team is essential in enhancing the Firm’s resilience and resolvability across jurisdictions.

What you’ll do in the role:
Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, practical documentation in close cooperation with functional teams
Drive regulatory submissions and governance materials related to Recovery & Resolution Planning
Collaborate with and influence global stakeholders across EMEA and the US
Maintain and enhance frameworks, policies, controls, and remediation actions
Drive and manage projects in response to regulatory changes
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, identify and mitigate risks proactively
What you’ll bring to the role:
Experience in finance, compliance, regulatory, risk & controls, or legal roles
Strong background in stakeholder management, policy interpretation, governance documentation, or regulatory analysis
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a global, cross‑border environment
Typically, 3+ years of relevant experience; financial services experience preferred
