The Role

This position will be based in our Boston, MA office. All Boston based corporate employees work in the office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office at 4 days per week and have the option to work remotely 1 day per week.

Wayfair, the largest online-only retailer of home furnishings and housewares in the United States, has an immediate need for a T&E Associate to support the day-to-day travel and expense program. The global travel and expense associate will be responsible for end-to-end support of the global travel and expense program. This program includes, but is not limited to, travel management companies, airlines, hotels, car rentals, ground transportation and T&E booking/expense software. This role is ideal for an exceptional person who is passionate about the travel industry and has a strong desire to innovate and spearhead business improvements around travel.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor Travel Management Company performance, service levels and online booking tool (OBT) optimization
  • Make business and process efficiency recommendations on travel program and project activities in line with business goals and objectives
  • Administer and monitor the travel policies, guidelines and spend to deliver efficient travel
  • Research and document visa processing requirements for various countries, including but not limited to, North America, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, and Europe
  • Support business travel inquiries related to visa application processing and requirements
  • Provide continuing evaluation and development of technology and systems in the area of travel plus expense reimbursement.
  • Cultivate or maintain working relationships with internal departments on a global scale to ensure travel processes and tools are known
  • Manage reporting with data inclusive of spend, travel metrics for in-policy/out-of-policy compliance, plus volume trends along with exception reporting, budgeting and forecasting

What You'll Need

  • 2+ years of travel management and expense experience
  • Experience with travel systems (OBTs & Expense software, T&E corporate card)
  • Experience in spend analysis, market and benchmark analysis at a broad level
  • Experience communicating complex and actionable concepts at a senior executive level
  • Possess excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and the ability to apply sound judgment to complex business transactions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Advanced Google Sheets working knowledge
