The Role
Our Tax Consultancy Service Line is growing rapidly and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Tax Director / Partner to join our team in Newcastle.

This role will involve working alongside the existing team on a variety of projects who aspire to provide the best service to our clients.

The main elements of this role will include:
  • Acting as the Tax Relationship Partner for a portfolio of existing clients
  • Delivering and prioritising all relevant client work and ensuring effective workflow for your team
  • Overseeing and ensuring establishment of scope and budget for each piece of works in place
  • Ensuring full agreement of client work to be undertaken is in place and communicating and agreeing likely fees prior to commencement to maximise fee recovery
  • Monitoring work progress and ensuring appropriate levels of communication with all clients and internal stakeholders is carried out throughout each piece of work
  • Ensuring closure discussions are held with clients and using the opportunity to seek further referrals
  • Ensuring full implementation of all client work in line with agreed budget and adhering to Armstrong Watson's procedures
  • Adhering to the Tax Consultancy Service Line Standards and Risk Procedures at all times
  • Undertaking individual business development activities as appropriate to ensure delivery of individual and team fee targets

In order to fulfil the responsibilities of the position, we would like candidates to be / have:
  • CTA qualified or hold an equivalent qualification
  • Seen as a thought leader in their area of expertise to the external marketplace
  • A Full UK Driving Licence
