Job Description

Corporate Strategy shapes the future direction of Freshworks, defining the company's three year strategy and the strategic initiatives across the organization. As a Manager- Corporate Strategy, you will be a part of the Corporate Strategy & Development team and will work closely with the cross-functional stakeholders to develop insights from both internal and external data that will support and inform our strategic priorities.

You will work on surfacing meaningful business insight, creating the overall executive level telemetry and identifying patterns to power projects of strategic importance such as our growth strategy, organizational transformation, GTM initiatives, operational excellence and many others. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from the CEO office, as well as senior leaders from Finance, Revenue Operations, Marketing, Sales, Partner, and Product. This role offers a unique blend of strategy, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex business problems, and wants to make a significant impact.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives—from ideation to execution—partnering with teams across Product, GTM, Finance, and Operations

• Conduct market and competitive intelligence to identify emerging trends, threats, and opportunities.

• Support M&A and partnership evaluation efforts through business case development, strategic fit assessments, and financial modeling.

• Translate complex data and business inputs into clear, actionable insights and executive-level presentations.

• Act as a thought partner to business units, driving strategic planning cycles, OKR alignment, and long-range planning.

• Develop frameworks and models to evaluate strategic trade-offs and support decision-making

• Drive the development of an Insights dashboard, to serve a single source of truth for Freshworks’ most important KPIs across multiple functional domains.

• Assess need for creating new metrics to track and deliver higher commercial value in working with internal stakeholders

• In partnering with other data teams internally,  create end to end data and metrics catalog for the Strategy function

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience of business experience (with ideally 3-4 years in strategic data analysis)

• Deep SaaS industry experience

• Experience with Google Sheets / Slides

• Proficient with SQL to perform data acquisition, aggregation, segmentation and enrichment from existing and new data sources

• Experience with BI/visualization packages, such as PowerBI and Tableau (preferably strong in PowerBI)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including hypothesis testing, root cause analysis and understanding of drivers of process variations

• Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task

• Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams/Geos

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
