Corporate Strategy Intern

Job Description:

Nextpower is seeking a highly motivated summer intern to join the Corporate Strategy team, supporting the Market Intelligence function. This role will report to the Senior Director of Market Intelligence and will focus on evaluating new market growth opportunities aligned with Nextpower’s corporate strategy. This internship offers direct exposure to corporate strategy and executive-level decision-making, providing hands-on experience evaluating real growth opportunities across global energy markets. Interns will work closely with senior leadership, receiving meaningful mentorship while gaining insight into strategic roadmap definitio.

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis across existing and emerging geographies, segments, and/or product ecosystems

• Support evaluation of new market entry opportunities, including sizing, growth forecasts, and strategic fit

• Analyze industry trends in the renewable energy sector

• Assist in building financial models and business cases to assess potential growth and acquisition initiatives

• Develop presentations and briefing materials for senior leadership

• Synthesize data into actionable insights

• Support ad hoc strategic initiatives as needed

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (experience with data visualization tools is a plus)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity

• Interest in renewable energy, infrastructure, or clean technology markets

• Experience conducting industry research or building financial models

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

• Direct exposure to corporate strategy and executive-level decision-making

• Experience evaluating real growth opportunities in global energy markets

• Mentorship from senior leadership within Market Intelligence

• Insight into how strategy translates into operational execution

 Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $35-$40 per hour (Specific to California).
