Position Overview

The Corporate Strategy Analyst I is an entry level role.  With detailed instruction and guidance, this position supports the development of long-range corporate strategy, tracks industry trends, evaluates internal and external market opportunities, and supports leadership in aligning resources to deliver on those strategies. Under specified direction from senior level roles, this position assists leaders from across the company in establishing and clearly communicating the company’s long-range strategy. On an ad-hoc basis and with guidance, this position supports key strategic initiatives throughout the company. This position is also responsible for supporting a collaborative environment that promotes positive teamwork where all members are working for the good of Exact Sciences. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding strategic thinking, collaboration, and communication.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Madison, WI office location.

Essential Duties

include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the Strategy and Executive teams as they make key strategic decisions.
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Build and maintain models to support fact-based decision making with regards to long-range planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Assist with conducting quantitative and qualitative market research to aid the prioritization of corporate strategies (e.g. new products, product expansions, M&A, etc.).
  • Assist with building models to assist in the evaluation of new products and strategies.
  • Analyze new product markets and help determine early commercialization strategies.
  • Apply analytical skills and organizational ability skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in a cross-cultural and complex matrix environment.
  • Ability to build relationships across functions.
  • Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information or unexpected circumstances.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Business or Finance.
  • Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of business experience, which may include internships.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, particularly with software such as Tableau.
  • Experience as an analyst in investment banking, consulting, or other position requiring strategic analysis.
  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or diagnostic space

Salary Range:

$58,000.00 - $92,000.00

 

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
