We're Norton Rose Fulbright - a global law firm with over 50 offices and 7,000 employees worldwide. We provide the world’s preeminent corporations and financial institutions with a full business law service. At Norton Rose Fulbright, our strategy and our culture are closely entwined. We know that our expansion will mean little unless it is underpinned by truly global collaboration and we understand that pioneering work only takes place when our people have room to move and think beyond boundaries. As well as the relevant skills and experience, we're looking for people who are innovative, commercial and value the work that they do.

The Team

Our Athens office is part of Norton Rose Fulbright’s leading global corporate practice, recognised for its exceptional track record in corporate and M&A transactions. Integrated into the firm’s international network, our team advises clients across multiple jurisdictions on high-profile national and cross-border deals.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our growing corporate team in Athens. The successful candidate will be involved in complex transactions and play a key role in client relationship management, legal strategy, and deal execution. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer with a strong background in corporate law and specific sector experience in real estate and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a broad range of corporate/M&A transactions involving national and multinational corporates, private equity funds, and institutional investors.
  • Provide expert legal advice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and related matters, particularly within the real estate and hospitality sectors.
  • Oversee legal due diligence processes and risk assessments for corporate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documentation, including share purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, and corporate governance materials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across our international offices and manage cross-border legal teams and projects.
  • Advise on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and transactional structuring issues.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and contribute to business development efforts within the practice.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Greek law qualified (qualification in England & Wales would be an asset).
  • 8+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, with a strong focus on M&A.
  • Proven sector experience in real estate and hospitality transactions is essential.
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Greek and English.
