Position Summary:

Fontainebleau Development is a premier luxury real estate and hospitality company with a distinguished portfolio spanning world-class hotel, casino, and mixed-use development properties. As we continue to expand our footprint across premier destinations, we are seeking an exceptional safety leader to serve as the enterprise-wide safety authority for all Fontainebleau Development properties in the United States, including hotel, casino, and real estate development operations.

Reporting to senior leadership, the Corporate Safety Director will design, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive occupational health and safety program that ensures full regulatory compliance, minimizes organizational risk, and fosters a proactive safety culture across all business units. This role demands a strategic thinker and collaborative leader who can operate effectively across a complex, multi-site environment, partnering closely with Risk Management, Security, Legal, Human Resources, and the Claims Department to deliver integrated safety solutions at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Develop, implement, and continuously oversee comprehensive safety programs, including asset safety meetings and safety-culture awareness programs across all Fontainebleau properties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926), Gaming Commission safety regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws across every property.
  • Audits & Risk Assessments: Conduct and oversee systematic safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all properties; identify hazards and drive timely corrective actions.
  • Incident Investigation: Lead incident investigation processes, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation, to prevent recurrence and drive continuous improvement.
  • Risk Management & Claims: Partner with Risk Management and the Claims Department on workers’ compensation, liability claims, and loss-control strategies to reduce organizational exposure.
  • Legal & HR Collaboration: Collaborate with Legal and Human Resources on regulatory compliance matters, employee relations issues, and the development and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
  • Security & Emergency Response: Liaise with the Security team on emergency response planning, crisis management protocols, and life-safety systems to ensure readiness across all properties.
  • Training & Development: Design and deliver comprehensive safety training programs tailored to all levels of staff, including gaming-floor personnel, hospitality teams, and construction/development crews.
  • Regulatory Relationships: Maintain productive relationships with regulatory agencies, including OSHA, state gaming commissions, and local fire and building authorities.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on safety metrics, KPIs, and trend data to senior leadership, providing actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Budget Management: Manage safety budgets and allocate resources effectively across all properties to maximize program impact and operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of safety professionals and coordinators across multiple locations, fostering a high-performance culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Contractor & Vendor Compliance: Oversee contractor and vendor safety compliance programs, ensuring all third-party partners meet Fontainebleau’s safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop, maintain, and regularly test emergency action plans, evacuation procedures, and business-continuity protocols across all properties.
