General Job Description:

Directly reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, this position is responsible for sourcing talented individuals to join the leading HVAC contractor on the West Coast.  This position will apply their experience and knowledge in delivering best in class sourcing and talent acquisition practices to find highly skilled and diversified team members to drive continued growth for ACCO Engineered Systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage full life cycle recruiting for a portfolio of requisitions in the assigned region(s).
  • Build solid pipelines and prospect passive talent utilizing creative sourcing methods and fostering long-term relationships with candidates
  • Provide expert guidance on the recruiting process for filling positions quickly with qualified and motivated candidates
  • Partner with hiring managers to build and enhance recruiting strategies
  • Network with industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees to find the best talent
  • Develop and track recruiting and hiring process/metrics so that the processes are transparent and measurable
  • Recommend best practices to expedite the time to fill for qualified candidates
  • Provide training on ATS and interviewing techniques to ensure compliance and world class applicant experience
  • Work with external recruiting firms, recruiting job sites, social media, and career fairs to ensure cost effective and optimal sourcing tools to find great candidates
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and update the candidates' profiles as needed
  • Provide innovative Marketing approaches that will attract talent
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of in-house recruiting experience is required for this role
  • Significant experience with passive recruiting techniques especially in technical sales and engineering roles
  • Have an inner drive and strong commitment to excel in the pursuit of business goals
  • Have a desire for seeking out new experiences, knowledge and candid feedback and an openness to learning and change
  • Ability to gather and make sense of information that suggests new possibilities
  • Demonstrate a knack for authentically using emotion and logic to communicate a persuasive vision and connect with people
  • Skilled at using data and analytics to develop insights and drive decisions.
  • Able to understand and interpret data-based metrics to market the effectiveness of recruiting efforts
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication and coaching skills (verbal, written and presentation) at all levels (IC to Exec)
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Passion for exceeding internal customer expectations through world class delivery
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and ability to streamline processes whenever possible
  • Maintain confidentiality of candidate and organizational information
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Approximately 15% travel to other regional offices as needed

Additional Skills/Abilities Preferred, but Not Required:

  • BS degree in a job-related concentration (e.g., HR Management, O/D, Business)
  • Prior HR experience within the construction or contracting industries

Travel: 0 -5% of the time to and from the primary office to regional branch offices.

Competitive Wages: 

$65,000 to 88,750 annually. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
