About the role.
Reporting to the Office Experience Manager, the Corporate Receptionist / Building Services Coordinator is responsible for delivering a best-in-class front of house experience while providing operational, administrative, and financial support to the Building Services function. This role serves a a central communication hub for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless visitor experiences, effective building operations, and timely coordination of services, vendors, and communications. The position plays a critical role in maintaining safety protocols, supporting emergency procedures, and ensuring continuity of essential office functions. This is a onsite position - Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm at our North America Corporate office in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
What you'll be doing.
- Serve as the first point of contact for McCain, delivering a professional, welcoming, and secure front‑of‑house experience for employees, visitors, and partners.
- Manage reception and switchboard operations, including visitor check‑in, badge distribution, call routing, and voicemail management in alignment with security protocols.
- Act as a central communication hub during emergencies, supporting safety procedures and coordinating with Building Security and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee visitor and off‑site employee logs, maintain accurate records, and provide routine reporting to Building Security.
- Communicate building notices, updates, and safety information through internal channels, while maintaining employee directories and databases.
- Support emergency preparedness by maintaining safety documentation, ensuring readiness of reception emergency equipment, and assisting with accountability procedures when needed.
- Coordinate administrative Building Services activities, including vendor communication, work order tracking, supply ordering, scheduling support, and invoice processing through Accounts Payable systems.
- Assist with dock, freight, and building access coordination in partnership with internal teams and external building partners.
- Provide operational and administrative support, including mail distribution, large mailings, backup mailroom coverage, and special departmental requests.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting projects, streamlining processes, and developing tools and documentation to enhance efficiency and consistency.
What you'll need to be successful.
- Associates degree or equivalent related work experience in the capacity of a Corporate Receptionist in an office environment required.
- 5+ years of experience in office administration, reception, or similar role.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong follow-up skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

Compensation Package : $42,300.00 - $56,500.00 . USD annually
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
