We’re looking for a Corporate Legal Intern to join our Legal team for 12 weeks in the summer of 2026. The Corporate Legal Intern will sit within our Legal Corporate and Compliance team and work on / own projects supporting Superhuman (formerly known as Grammarly) and its subsidiaries’ corporate governance, legal compliance, and strategic transactional matters, ranging from investor relations to mergers and acquisitions and financings. This is a unique opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on experience working with cross-functional business stakeholders and decision-makers (such as corporate development, equity, compensation, accounting, and finance), as well as the full legal team. Superhuman is a growing, AI-focused company, and this Corporate Legal Intern will have a unique opportunity to see how Legal, Corporate, and Compliance functions within such an organization.
As Superhuman’s first Corporate Legal Intern, you will collaborate cross-functionally on some of our most complex and impactful legal questions. In this role, you will:
- Work on at least one end-to-end legal challenge directly related to Superhuman’s high-level goals and priorities.
- Develop expertise in problem-solving, legal issue spotting, and pragmatically assessing legal risk for complex and high-impact corporate legal matters.
- Gain early exposure to corporate governance and strategic transactional work from an in-house perspective, including assessing, advising, and balancing corporate and compliance-related legal issues against business needs.
- Build and sharpen your business and transactional legal drafting skills.
- Perform legal research, analyze findings, document actionable findings, and give oral presentations of your findings to internal partners.
- Collaborate with a friendly and experienced team of legal and business professionals to get exposure to various in-house legal practices.
- Leverage and contribute your unique perspective to share feedback on legal strategy and risk management.
- Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
- Is a current 1L with a demonstrated interest in corporate law, strategic transactions, governance, and compliance.
- Prior experience in a role at a company supporting business-side stakeholders pre-law school is a definite plus, but not a dealbreaker.
- Is able to collaborate in person at least once a week in our San Francisco hub (likely Thursday, but to be determined) throughout the internship.
- Brings a problem-solving and detail-oriented approach to their work, a track record of excellent organizational skills, and unfailing follow-up to effectively manage multiple activities of varying difficulty, priority, and complexity.
- Has strong and practical business judgment and demonstrates the ability to independently move projects forward by gaining support from others while working in a cross-functional role.
- Brings an entrepreneurial drive and comfort working in ambiguous, quickly changing environments.
- Has a strong sense of accountability and integrity, taking ownership of projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.
- Is a great communicator and has a service mindset that empowers others to hit their goals.
The expected pay for this position is $38.00 USD/hour and may be modified in the future.
