We’re hiring a Corporate Legal Assistant based in South Africa to support a UK top-20 accountancy and legal advisory firm. You'll be part of a growing Legal Services team, working closely with senior legal partners and helping UK-based clients with corporate and company secretarial matters.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has an LLB degree, 2–3 years of experience, and a passion for corporate governance or company law, looking to build an international career while working from SA.
- Assist with corporate legal admin and documentation
- Draft and circulate board resolutions and shareholder documentation
- Maintain and update statutory registers
- Manage Companies House filings (UK equivalent of CIPC – training will be provided)
- Support transactions such as incorporations, director changes, share transfers, and reorganisations
- Liaise with HMRC, Companies House, and internal teams in the UK
- Provide ad-hoc company secretarial and legal support
Requirements
- LLB degree from a South African university
- 2–3 years’ experience in a legal, governance, or professional services environment
- Completed Articles
- Excellent command of English (verbal and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Organised, detail-oriented and self-motivated
- Comfortable working across time zones
Advantageous (but not required):
- Enrolled with CGISA or looking to enroll
- Experience with CIPC filings, legal compliance, or company secretarial software
- Exposure to corporate transactions or governance documentation
