Role Summary
As an Operational Risk Management Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the bank’s Operational Risk Management program — helping to identify, assess, and monitor risks across people, processes, and technology. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals within our Corporate Risk team to understand how risk management strengthens the safety, stability, and success of a financial institution. This internship is a great opportunity to build foundational skills in data analysis, risk assessment, and business operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with data gathering, research, and reporting to support enterprise and operational risk programs.

  • Help maintain and update documentation for risk management processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Support third-party risk management, model risk management, and other key risk activities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect information and prepare summaries for management or committee meetings.

  • Analyze trends and contribute insights that strengthen operational processes and controls.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes to support continuous improvement.

  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and presentations to gain exposure to real-world risk management practices.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Current enrollment in an Associates or Bachelor’s degree program (sophomore, junior, or senior standing).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Coursework or experience in Finance, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • Interest or exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data-driven decision-making.

  • Knowledge of Power BI
