Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, solutions-driven Corporate Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Development team. This role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of learning solutions from needs analysis through evaluation, supporting key organizational priorities including compliance, corporate policies, leadership development, and employee relations.
This position requires a strong foundation in the ADDIE model, combined with excellent project management capabilities and a sharp attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all deliverables. The ideal candidate is both creative and structured and able to translate complex content into engaging learning experiences while managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced corporate environment.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with HR, subject matter experts (SMEs), and business leaders to design and deliver impactful, scalable learning programs using modern tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Vyond, and the Microsoft 365 suite.
Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in our Minnetonka office.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, HR, Organizational Development, or related field
- 2+ years of corporate instructional design experience
- Demonstrated experience applying the ADDIE model across multiple projects
- Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, including content accuracy, consistency, and quality control
- Hands-on experience with:
- Articulate Storyline and Rise 360- this is required
- Video creation tools (e.g., Vyond)
- Microsoft 365 suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
- Experience working with stakeholders and translating complex content into engaging learning solutions
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting HR-related training (compliance, employee relations, leadership)
- Corporate or enterprise-level experience
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, reporting, and analytics
- Exposure to learning measurement frameworks (e.g., Kirkpatrick, ROI models)
- Experience leading projects or influencing stakeholders without direct authority
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze
- Conduct needs assessments, stakeholder interviews, and performance analyses to identify root causes and learning opportunities
- Translate business goals into clear, measurable learning objectives
- Evaluate audience needs, skill gaps, and environmental constraints
Design
- Develop detailed design strategies, storyboards, scripts, and prototypes
- Apply adult learning theory, instructional best practices, and engagement strategies
- Architect blended learning solutions (eLearning, ILT/VILT, microlearning, videos, performance support tools)
Develop
- Build high-quality, interactive courses using Articulate Storyline and Rise 360
- Create compelling visual and video-based content using tools such as Vyond
- Develop facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and communication assets using Microsoft 365
- Apply rigorous quality assurance standards, ensuring accuracy, brand alignment, accessibility, and consistency (strong attention to detail is critical)
Implement
- Manage and support deployment of training via LMS or internal platforms
- Partner with stakeholders to drive adoption, communication, and learner engagement
- Facilitate pilot sessions and incorporate feedback prior to full rollout
Evaluate
- Design and execute evaluation strategies (Kirkpatrick Levels 1–4 when applicable)
- Analyze feedback, learner data, and performance metrics to assess effectiveness
- Continuously improve learning solutions based on data insights and stakeholder feedback
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Track multiple concurrent projects from intake through delivery using strong project management discipline
- Create and manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, and communication cadences
- Collaborate effectively with SMEs, HR partners, legal/compliance teams, and leadership
- Balance competing priorities while ensuring deadlines, scope, and quality standards are met
- Anticipate risks, manage dependencies, and proactively solve problems
- Provide clear, professional updates and drive alignment across stakeholders

The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Factors which may be used to determine the actual pay rate may include, but are not limited to, education, training or experience; seniority; merit and work performance; quantity or quality of production; regional differences in compensation; differences in local minimum wages, or ability and effort.
Position's Pay Range:
$75,000 - $95,000Benefits may include:
