Mission of the Role (What you will be doing)
The Corporate HR Manager is a critical role responsible for managing payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems for the company. Acting
as a center of excellence (COE), this position oversees corporate-level processes, ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and
provides guidance to field HR teams on payroll and benefits matters. The ideal candidate will champion HRIS-related improvements, streamline
operations, and effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties & Accountabilities (Primary responsibilities & quantifiable measurements)
Payroll Administration:
- Execute and manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with field HR and Finance teams to address and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Ensure payroll-related records are maintained in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and correct errors in payroll processes.
Benefits Administration:
- Manage and oversee the administration of all company benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and other offerings.
- Ensure timely and accurate setup and maintenance of benefits in the HRIS system.
- Serve as the company’s subject matter expert (SME) on benefits, providing guidance to employees, field HR, and management.
- Stay updated on benefits-related laws and regulations to ensure compliance (e.g., ACA, COBRA, ERISA).
- Coordinate with benefits vendors to resolve issues and streamline processes.
HRIS Management:
- Serve as the system administrator and champion for the company’s HRIS, ensuring data integrity and functionality.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve HRIS processes, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
- Provide training and guidance to HR and other departments on HRIS functionality and best practices.
- Partner with IT and HRIS vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
401(k) Administration:
- Oversee the setup, maintenance, and compliance of the company’s 401(k) plan, ensuring accurate employee contributions and employer matching.
- Coordinate with third-party administrators and auditors to maintain plan compliance.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with payroll, benefits, and HRIS-related legislation, including but not limited to FMLA, FLSA, HIPAA, and applicable tax laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to meet audit and reporting requirements.
- Proactively identify risks and implement solutions to mitigate compliance issues.
Field HR Support:
- Act as a resource for field HR teams, providing expert guidance on payroll, benefits, and HRIS matters.
- Foster collaboration between corporate HR and field teams to align processes and ensure consistent practices.
Strategic Contributions:
- Research and implement industry best practices for payroll, benefits, and HRIS to improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Collaborate with the VP of HR to align payroll, benefits, and HRIS strategies with overall company goals.
- Participate in and lead special projects related to payroll, benefits, and HRIS initiatives.
Qualifications (What you’ll need to be successful):
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, benefits laws and regulations, and HRIS platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with 401(k) administration and retirement plan compliance.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management

- Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
