Anrok is the leading tax automation platform enabling businesses to expand globally without compliance complexity.
As the digital economy has grown 6x over the last decade, software businesses have gone from not worrying about sales tax to needing to monitor exposure, calculate rates, and file returns across 50+ US jurisdictions and many countries worldwide. This creates a critical bottleneck for companies that should be able to transact with customers everywhere.
Anrok eliminates this complexity by connecting with billing and payment systems to automate tax monitoring, calculations, and filing end-to-end. Our unified platform handles the ever-changing maze of tax laws at municipal, state, and federal levels—so companies can focus on growth, not compliance.
Our customers include:
40% of Forbes Top 50 AI companies
20% of Forbes Top 100 Cloud companies
Top companies like Notion, Anthropic, and Cursor
We're making compliant digital commerce a reality for companies big and small, backed by over $100M from leading investors including Spark Capital, Sequoia, Index, and Khosla Ventures.
We're expanding our Finance team and looking for a corporate finance leader to own how Anrok plans, measures, and tells the story of its financial performance. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll run board preparation, help shape the investor narrative, own the corporate model, and lead the company's financial planning — while partnering with leaders across the business to make sure we're investing in the right places. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility seat and a true thought partner to the Head of Finance on the company's most consequential financial decisions.
This is a rare seat to shape the full financial picture of a fast-growing company — not just maintaining a model, but building the planning, insight, and narrative that drive how Anrok grows. You'll work across every function and see how the whole business fits together, from go-to-market efficiency to the cost structure of the product itself. A great fit for someone with strong analytical foundations, comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of an early-stage company, and energized by building a function rather than running one in place.
In this role, you will:
Support board preparation and help shape the investor narrative — turning the numbers into a clear story of where the business is headed
Own Anrok's corporate model — the integrated view of revenue, cost, headcount, and cash that underpins planning and strategic decisions
Own the financial planning process end to end — and partner with Accounting and org leaders on budget-vs-actuals to explain performance, resolve discrepancies, and course-correct early
Partner with GTM, Engineering, People, and Operations on budget and COGS strategy — bringing financial perspective to how each org invests, and where margin is won or lost across the business and the product
Serve as a thought partner to the Head of Finance on the company's most strategic decisions — capital allocation, cost structure, and operating-model scenarios
Build AI workflows for recurring corporate finance analysis using the team's AI-native tooling stack (Omni, NetSuite, Python, n8n, Claude) — reducing manual cycles and unlocking deeper analytical work
This role is currently an IC role and structured to grow with the function — as Anrok scales, so does the scope and ownership of this seat
8+ years in investment banking, corporate finance, or FP&A — you can build a model from scratch, stress-test assumptions, and know what "good" looks like across business stages
Experience partnering with cross-functional leaders and the executive team — supporting board and investor work and translating financial insight into decisions
Deep fluency in B2B SaaS financials: corporate modeling, gross margin and COGS, opex and headcount planning, and the metrics that matter to a board
Strong technical foundation: three-statement modeling, comfort with GAAP, and fluency with financial systems and BI tools (we use NetSuite, Omni, and SQL/Python) — you can build the model and trust the numbers underneath it
Demonstrated ability to form a point of view and bring a clear recommendation — weighing trade-offs and communicating them, rather than just presenting numbers
Demonstrated interest or experience in AI-assisted workflows and automation (Python, n8n, LLM-based tooling, or equivalent) — you build automation into your workflow rather than waiting for someone else to
Comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of an early-stage startup — you operate well without a perfect playbook, prioritize ruthlessly, and turn ambiguous problems into structured analyses on your own
Excellent communication skills—able to present to executives and the board, partner across functions, and influence decision-making
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field; CPA or MBA a plus but not required
