Purpose of Position:

The position will play a key role supporting the general finance department activities and month end reporting process. The position would suit  qualified accountant looking to work in private equity in a finance context.(or part-qualified accountant pursuing their final qualification) The role will provide a wide spectrum of responsibilities across the main areas of finance including general bookkeeping, reconciliation work, practical application and interpretation of GAAP (US GAAP, UK FRS and IFRS), internal controls, internal and external financial reporting.  The role also includes assisting other team members with monthly and quarterly reporting to our public company Parent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Pantheon’s Investment Accounts covering $300m worth of assets
  • Assist with daily treasury process including cash transfers and bank management
  • Assist with Carry distribution calculations and notices
  • Assist with Quarterly Partner statements for Pantheon’s co investment vehicle
  • Prepare monthly expense accruals
  • Processing daily/weekly journals in the GL for bank, investments, expense and balance sheet transactions
  • Conduct periodic reconciliation of accounts to ensure their accuracy
  • Assist with completion of monthly bank reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly management accounts 
  • Assist with preparation annual statutory accounts and reports 
  • Provide documentation as required to auditors for the Group/ Corporate and SOX audits
  • Support the finance team with any other projects as required

Knowledge & Experience Required:

  • A junior accountant with, or pursuing CPA, ACCA, CA etc. professional qualification.
  • Recent college graduate acceptable, some work experience (including internships) ideally in the funds space, financial services, and/or partnerships preferred
  • Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office including advanced Excel.
  • Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to details.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and across borders with team members and management is other jurisdictions
  • Excellent team player


Expected base salary range:  $90,000 - $105,000

Actual base salary is determined by a range of factors including individual experience, skills and qualifications. 

In addition to the above salary, Pantheon offers a generous employee benefits package and successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus
