Hello! We’re Cashea 👋, and we're on a mission to bring optimism back to Venezuelans 🇻🇪 by building innovative financial products. Since our launch in 2022, we've been dedicated to democratizing financial inclusion through cutting-edge technology. In that time, we've grown to serve over 11 million customers, developed a range of products for both consumers and merchants, and become a trusted name in Venezuela—winning both minds and hearts.

About the role

The biggest decisions at Cashea are made on the work this team does.

Corporate Development & Strategy sits within Strategic Finance and is the analytical arm of Cashea's C-level and senior leadership. We frame the hard questions, build the evidence behind the company's most important decisions, and stay to make sure they deliver.

As a strategist and operator, you will take on the company's highest-priority and most ambiguous projects: scope the problem, build the case with the numbers, and work alongside the teams to turn it into action. One quarter you may be shaping a new product and its financials, the next assessing an investment or diagnosing how part of the business runs. It is a small, close team where impact matters more than titles, and the work goes wherever the business needs it most.

You will be close to where the biggest decisions are made, from the first question to the follow-through.
Location agnostic: We are a distributed team spread across Europe and LATAM.

Responsibilities
  • Taking on projects that follow the needs of the business, across governance of new businesses, new products and their financials, corporate strategy, investments and M&A, and internal capabilities

  • Building the models and business cases behind each recommendation: unit economics, scenarios, valuation and capital needs

  • Tracking new businesses after the decision (targets, guardrails and KPIs), and designing the frameworks and processes that do not exist yet

  • Researching markets and competitive dynamics, and evaluating investment and partnership opportunities

  • Structuring ambiguous questions and turning the analysis into clear recommendations and materials for leadership forums at different levels, up to the board

  • Partnering with internal teams and external partners to bring analytical rigor to business decisions and move from recommendation to execution

Qualifications
  • Experience in management consulting, strategy & operations or corporate development, ideally in a high-growth fintech or a fast-paced financial services environment (investment banking, private equity, and venture capital are also considered).

  • Problem solving: you have structured ambiguous problems from a blank page, synthesized large amounts of information and reached a recommendation with what was available

  • Stakeholder management and senior leadership exposure: you have worked directly with senior leaders, influence without formal authority, put the outcome ahead of the credit, and hold your ground when presenting difficult findings

  • Financial and business case modeling: you build models from scratch, with explicit assumptions and sensitivities

  • Executive communication: you write and present for senior audiences, conclusion first

  • Languages: fluent Spanish and English

Nice-to-have qualifications

  • Understanding of fintech business models (credit, payments, fees) and where their risk sits

  • Experience building or launching new businesses or products in the fintech space

  • Experience with M&A and valuation: comps, DCF, due diligence coordination

  • Understanding of the Venezuelan market
