About the Role:
The Director of Corporate Strategy plays a critical role in shaping and executing the long term direction of the organisation. Operating as a key strategic partner to and reporting into the Chief Strategy Officer, this role drives corporate strategy and corporate development initiatives, leads cross functional high-impact projects through a global project management office, and develops materials that inform key decision-making for the Executive Team and Board. Responsible for market intelligence, stakeholder engagement and strategic partnership development.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Initiatives & Corporate Projects
- Lead or support enterprise wide strategic initiatives aligned with the corporate strategy, including growth strategy development, operational improvements, and global transformation programs.
- Lead or support development of business plans with clear financial objectives for new offerings and products
- Work closely with senior business leaders to assess strategic priorities, define problem statements, and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Build data driven frameworks, feasibility assessments, and business cases to evaluate new opportunities or strategic shifts.
- Track and report on the progress of key strategic programs and performance against strategy.
- Lead the design and delivery of long-term strategic initiatives, including managing annual corporate planning cycles and cross-functional special projects.
- Drive the strategy for integrating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning across organizational processes for both efficiency gains and competitive differentiation
Executive & Board Level Material
- Develop high quality presentations, insights, and briefing documents for the Executive Leadership team, and Board of Directors with CSO guidance.
- Translate complex data and strategic issues into crisp, compelling narratives suitable for senior audiences.
- Prepare materials for investor related discussions and partner engagements (as required).
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Drive market research and competitive analysis across the global CRO, biotech, and pharma landscape.
- Identify strategic trends, emerging risks, and new opportunities in clinical development and outsourced R&D services.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Build strong relationships across global functional and regional teams to drive alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Corporate Development, BD, Operations, and HR on cross functional strategic work.
- Support and mentor more junior strategy team members as needed.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business Management or related field, MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 10+ years in a leadership role, with either management consulting (Life Sciences practice) with CRO/healthcare strategy experience.
- Advanced skills in data analytics, visualization, valuation, financial modelling and storyboarding
- Experience in strategic planning and business analysis, business process improvement
- Experience in market analysis, go-to-market strategy development, and competitor analysis
