The Role

LTG plc is seeking a motivated summer intern to join the Corporate Development and M&A team. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Development and members of the Executive Leadership Team, the intern will support projects including acquisitions, divestitures as well as strategic market research within the corporate education sector.  

The ideal candidate will have

  • A keen interest in mergers and acquisitions 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Experience building financial models and creating presentations
  • Ability to multi-task along with attention to detail  
  • Understanding of valuation methodologies 
  • Strong communication, organisational and presentation skills
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Assist in evaluating potential acquisition and investment opportunities through financial analysis, market research, and strategic fit assessments
  • Support the preparation of financial models to analyze potential transactions, including sensitivity analyses and valuation outputs
  • Support due diligence on prospective targets, including reviewing company financials, commercial positioning, and operational capabilities
  • Support the execution of divestiture projects, including preparing financial materials, conducting buyer research, coordinating due diligence
  • Research and synthesize information on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging market opportunities
  • Help prepare internal memos, presentations, and materials for executive decision-making and Board review
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, product, operations) during transaction execution and integration planning
  • Maintain and update transaction pipeline and M&A project trackers
  • Participate in regular team meetings and provide status updates on assigned projects
  • Take ownership of smaller research or modeling workstreams, with guidance from senior team members

LTG offers hybrid working with the candidate required to commute to the office in the City of London three days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) and remote working on Mondays and Fridays.
