Responsibilities:PJT Partners is seeking to hire a compliance professional covering business lines operating on behalf of PJT Partners (Saudi Arabia). This is a new, stand-alone role reporting into the Head of Compliance for the Middle East (based in Dubai) offering a unique opportunity for a self-driven individual to work independently while contributing to the global Legal & Compliance team.
Primary responsibilities include:
> Ensure policies and procedures governing activities of PJT Partners (Saudi Arabia) are current and meet local regulatory expectations
> Advise the Strategic Advisory and Restructuring teams in Saudi Arabia in their execution activities and provide independent oversight of the personnel conducting activity on behalf of PJT Partners (Saudi Arabia)
> Facilitate regulatory interactions and regulatory reporting with the Capital Market Authority (“CMA”), and other relevant governmental bodies
> Monitor licensing and registration requirements for PJT Partners (Saudi Arabia) personnel
> Track, assess and advise the firm in relation to regulatory developments in Saudi Arabia
> Provide local support for the Finance and Operations functions in the region
> Play a pivotal role connecting the Saudi team with colleagues in London and New York, fostering collaboration and consistency across regional and global operations
Qualifications:PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and are proven self-starters. The successful candidates should have excellent communication skills, a demonstrated ability to write effectively, and a desire to work in a team environment. The ideal candidate will also have the following qualifications and skills:
> 5 years’ experience as a compliance professional (either at a financial services firm, consultancy or regulator)
> Bachelor’s degree required
> Strong knowledge of the rules and procedures of the CMA
> Familiarity with M&A, capital markets, and fund marketing services
> Fluent in Arabic, with strong proficiency in written and spoken English
> Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and manage competing priorities
> Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex regulatory matters and challenge constructively when needed
