Position Overview:

As the Corporate Communications Specialist at TraceLink, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our communication strategies across various channels. Your past industry experience, strong writing skills, and media outreach experience will enhance our brand presence and further establish TraceLink as a thought leader within the industry. Your ability to effectively communicate with external stakeholders, industry analysts, and internal teams will be crucial in driving our success.

Responsibilities:

Crafting Compelling Content: Develop engaging and persuasive content for various communication materials, including awards entries, press releases, blog posts, and other collateral. Ensure consistent messaging aligned with the company's brand narrative.

Media Outreach: Identify media opportunities and develop relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers. Pitch company news, product launches, and thought leadership topics to secure positive media coverage.

Award Submissions: Lead the identification, creation, and submission of award entries to recognize the company's achievements and innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and data.

Industry Expertise: Leverage your existing contacts within the healthcare, life sciences, and pharmaceutical industries to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to inform communication strategies.

Internal and External Stakeholder Communication & Asset Maintenance: Develop and execute communication plans that effectively convey company updates, product launches, and strategic initiatives to both internal teams and external audiences.

Platform & Agency Expertise: Utilize tools such as Cision and MuckRack, or similar platforms, to manage media contacts, track media coverage, and analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns. Cultivate and maintain agency relationships.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Management, Sales, and Executive Leadership, to align communication strategies with overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5-7+ years) in corporate communications, preferably within the technology or SaaS industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional writing skills.
  • Previous success in creating and submitting award entries, press releases, and other communication materials.
  • Familiarity with media outreach strategies and established contacts within the healthcare, life sciences, and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Proficiency in using platforms like Cision and MuckRack, or similar PR and media management tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align communication efforts with overall business goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
