The Mars Corporate brand is on a journey to elevate its reputation by growing brand awareness, building trust through storytelling, and increasing association between Mars and its portfolio of brands. The Mars Corporate brand manager will develop marketing strategies and lead initiatives to grow Mars brand foundations and accelerate trust and reputation building.
This role will be part of the central Corporate Affairs global team and report to the Corporate Brand and Purpose VP. This role partners closely with Internal Communications and External Communications Corporate Affairs stakeholders. Additionally, this role needs to develop an extended network to navigate a complex set of internal stakeholders across functions (Corporate Affairs, Marketing, Insights, Legal, etc.), Segments (Snacking, Petcare, Food & Nutrion), and geographies (Global, Regional, Market). This role will manage an external agency team that functions as an extended team
What will be your key responsibilities?
Strategy Development and Delivery: Lead development and execution of annual and long-range brand plans for the Mars Corporate brand, ensuring clear linkage between brand ambition, stakeholder ecosystem needs, portfolio priorities, and business objectives
Campaign and Communications: Develop and deliver integrated campaigns and communications across relevant paid-earned-shared-owned touchpoints that grow brand awareness, elevate reputation, and increase association between the Mars Corporate brand and its portfolio of brands
Insights-to-Action: Analyze business performance, competitive dynamics, consumer insights, and category trends, and translate them into recommendations on strategic choices and opportunities to increase effectiveness of activations and execution
Integrated Leadership: Operate as a high-impact cross-functional leader to drive clarity, alignment, and decision making; Effectively influence a complex set of internal stakeholders across functions, business Segments, and geographies; Lead an integrated-agency team to deliver strategic and creative initiatives
Operational Efficiency: Own budget planning, spend tracking, and optimization to ensure efficient investment across portfolio priorities; Track brand and activation performance to evaluate delivery against KPIs; Champion new methodologies, tools, and AI-enabled approaches to drive efficiencies

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
