POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting and supporting the Tax and Audit Manager in all various audit and tax activities of the organization. This includes the performance of internal audits, assisting external firms with financial and special engagement reviews, and assisting with government audits.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct internal audits of various types. Specific types of audits include, but are not limited to:
- Financial Audits
- Compliance Audits
- Performance/Operational Audits
- Tax Audits
- Asset Audits
- Investigative Audits
- Information Technology (IT) Audits
- Assist on all tax and government audits
- Assist and support CPA firm with end of year audits and reviews
- Assist and support external audit activities as needed
- Present audit conclusions and recommendations for improvement to management at the conclusion of audits
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance is required
- 1-3 year professional experience in tax, accounting, audit or related field is a plus
- Accounting System knowledge/experience is a plus
- Strong understanding and competency in accounting transactions and controls
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others
- Strong analytical skills
- Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with outside firms, governments, and internal departments
- Relocation to Eau Claire, WI is required
