The role also involves building and maintaining effective relationships with key internal stakeholders to meet their needs in understanding changes in the healthcare policy environment and provide strategic insights to help influence the direction of Pfizer's go-to-market strategies.
Key Accountability and responsabilities:
- Work closely with the Policy & Public Affairs lead, as well as other key internal stakeholders, to achieve organizational goals and objectives through public affairs and policies initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of policy and public affairs strategies aligned with overarching priorities that will create a better business environment and support's strategic priorities.
- Identify key policy and public affairs environmental challenges and opportunities for the business.
- Help raise awareness and strengthen our partnerships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers.
- Assist in the advancement of the company's position with policy makers, relevant associations, think tanks, academics, and other third parties.
- Advocate for better access to medicines and vaccines, and for a favorable operating environment for the pharmaceutical industry.
- Represent the company in meetings, hearings and events, effectively conveying the organization's points of viewd interests.
- Contribute to increasing Pfizer's reputation among political stakeholders through effective stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and advocacy.
- Provide timely information to internal colleagues regarding the political environment and trends, as well as upcoming policy developments, proving strategic recommendations.
- Develop internal and external documents and materials, including briefing notes, position papers, correspondence, presentations, among other materials.
Education and Experience:
- Holds a bachelor's degree in Law, Politics, Public Affairs, Communication or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in healthcare, policy or MBA degree will be a plus.
- Has a proven track record of working in the public affairs, policy or access fields.
- Has experience working in the legislative and/or executive branches.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of government and policy making processes.
- Have a solid network to navigate within policy environment to deploy key strategies/initiatives
- Has a solid understanding of the healthcare environment, pharmaceutical business, HTA process and immunization program.
- Has written and oral communication skills.
- English written and verbal communication skills.
