Job Description
- Monitor legislative, regulatory, and policy developments on a weekly and monthly basis, and prepare relevant reports and updates on matters that may directly or indirectly impact the organization.
- Support engagement and relationship-building activities with key external stakeholders, including central and local government authorities, industry associations, NGOs, and local communities.
- Assist with internal engagement and communication activities, including internal training, company events, management newsletters, and initiatives promoting corporate values.
- Support the industrial teams in Lampung and Balikpapan in liaising with relevant authorities to facilitate asset utilization, refinery operations, ongoing projects, and future site expansion.
- Help ensure that the company’s assets and refinery operations comply with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements in Indonesia.
- Prepare and coordinate meetings, forums, and engagement activities with government officials to exchange information regarding business activities and potential regulatory developments.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure mandatory company reports and government submissions are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide professional and regulatory support to the Corporate Affairs Manager and senior management in evaluating business decisions, managing compliance considerations, and minimizing regulatory risks.
- Contribute ideas, creativity, and practical solutions to strengthen the value and effectiveness of the Corporate Affairs function.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Communication, Law, Legal Studies, Regulatory Compliance, Public Relations, or another relevant field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in corporate affairs, government relations, regulatory affairs, public affairs, compliance, or a related function.
- Experience in agro-based industries, consumer goods, oil and gas, manufacturing, or intermediary product industries is preferred.
- Good understanding of government regulations, statutory requirements, and corporate compliance matters.
- Good written communication and drafting skills, particularly for formal correspondence with government authorities and external stakeholders.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management, government representatives, and other external stakeholders.
- Proactive, responsible, flexible, and solution-oriented.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a matrix organization.
