About the JobJPI has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Accounting Intern to join our Financial Services team located in Dallas, TX.
The Corporate Accounting Intern will be responsible for working on various tasks assigned in the Corporate and Real Estate Accounting teams. The Corporate Accounting Intern will foster relationships with key associates across the organization as well as external property managers to ensure the successful completion of deliverables. The position will report to the Manager, Corporate Accounting.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Record and reconcile cash on a daily basis.
Generate and review bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Participate in monthly close tasks as assigned. Examples of monthly close tasks as follows:
Review property management monthly reports to ensure accuracy.
Book monthly JEs, which include but are not limited to accruals, amortization, equity contributions, and ground lease activity.
Monthly reconciliations of accounts payable, investments in and contributed capital.
Assist in recording land and construction close activity.
Assist with tax and audit requests.
Send out monthly, quarterly & annual compliance reporting.

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Proficiency in using business software and tools, including MS Office and project management applications.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
