Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Corporate Accountant will be responsible for areas related to Fixed Assets, Taxes and Financial Reporting.
Job DescriptionCAPITAL ASSETS
- Preparing the working papers and capitalizing the various assets monthly and preparing capex report.
- Preparing working papers and capitalizing POS items
- Recording accruals for Capital work in progress and supporting coding of invoices in iverify.
- Executing the monthly depreciation runs in SAP.
- Performing the Disposals in the system when necessary and support the annual impairment process
- Preparing Schedule 8 for Tax Reporting of Capital Cost Allowance (CCA)
- Participate in monthly capex meetings with Controlling and Operations.
- Preparing and submitting Stat Canda Capex Surveys.
TAXES (VAT, INCOME TAX, ECOLOGY)
- VAT - Preparing various provincial and federal government VAT filings (HST / QST / PST)
- Income Tax – Preparing and submitting monthly compliances - Corp tax payments, WHT payments.
- Reconciling CARM reports with broker reports and initiating GST / Customs duty payments to CBSA.
- Preparing report for any corrections required for the CBSA firm reports with regards to declared values / tariff codes etc.
- Assist in preparing Transfer pricing report and pillar 2 compliances.
- Preparing monthly Tax submission package to HQ.
- Preparing blue box reports (EPR) for various provinces on annual basis.
- Preparing tax risk report (TX2) for HQ on annual basis
- Updating master data for changes in taxes / eco rates etc.
- Assist in preparing T2 / Dividend package.
- Income Tax - Assist in preparing working for WHT deductions and entries for Nonresident vendors.
- Supporting audits from CRA, provincial authorities, Tax reviews from third party provider.
FINANCIAL REPORTING
- Assist with Financial Audits (Q3/Q4).
- Performing monthly account reconciliations – E-Binders.
- Preparing Balance sheet forecast numbers for Business plan and 1st and 2nd review of business plan.
OTHER
- Coding AP invoices for fixed assets / Recycling fees/ HST-GST-PST in I-verify.
- Supporting annual hot pack testing from HQ.
- Completing Intercompany billing on quarterly basis.
- Clearing bank payments in SAP related to taxes, ecology and Fixed Assets disposals.
- Participating in quarterly lunch and learns in the company.
- Participating in team events.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- 3+ years in an accounting environment covering corporate functions listed above

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $72,675 to $80,325. The actual base salary for this position will depend on various factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and work location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of Red Bull’s bonus plan.
