Corporate Accountant

The Corporate Accountant is responsible for many aspects of financial reporting and will work directly with the Corporate Accounting Manager and Controller to develop new processes and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Initiate and post journal entries, including monthly accruals, prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, and research & resolve issues as needed 
• Reconcile bank accounts, monitor outstanding checks, and assist in cash analysis 
• Maintain fixed asset register and record monthly depreciation expense 
• Assist in development of new processes and procedures to improve month end close and financial reporting, and improve coordination between property accounting and corporate accounting 
• Assist in departmental initiatives to improve efficiency and utilization of available tools 
• Maintain master billing schedule for properties and coordinate invoicing of monthly fees and other reimbursables 
• Prepare audit related requests and other duties as assigned 

Education & Experience

• Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree. Preference in Accounting or Finance 
• Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills 
• Deep understanding of financial concepts 
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills 
• Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
