This role oversees and coordinates the various initiatives in an HR Center of Excellence’s portfolio of projects (including “run-the-business” work and “change/transform-the-business” work). You will be responsible to collect, track, and support the initiation and steering of HR projects and initiatives ultimately ensure their successful delivery to Lennar’s associates. In this role you will bring full transparency across all work in HR, helping to align Center of Excellence deliverables to the broader HR strategic priorities.

 


Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Provide oversight and guidance on multiple HR Center of Excellence’s project portfolios to create alignment, visibility, stakeholder awareness/engagement, and ensure successful execution
  • Provide portfolio management support, focusing on the long-range plan and existing near-term goals of specific business units, in line with the broader HR strategy
  • Track progress, impact and value of all initiatives on a regular basis from initiation until closure
  • Help project teams communicate effectively during and at the end of initiatives in order to create visibility of the improvement
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and guidance to the project teams, where appropriate
  • Lead portfolio management meetings and updates to HR leadership
  • Intake new projects, create project charters, and compile project updates for initiatives
  • Continue to evolve the PMO best practices and developing project management capabilities across HR
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project/initiative plans and documentation, including roadmaps, project plans, budget tracking, and risk assessments, where applicable
  • Champion change management principles, helping organizations navigate transitions associated with a culture of continuous change & transformation
  • Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the People Ops and broader HR organization

Your Toolbox 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Communications, Business Administration, Economics, Humanities, or related fields (relevant work experience is more relevant than major). MBA is not required, though a differentiator.
  • 5-6+ years of experience in project management in cross-functional organizations (or other analogous experience)
  • Strong project management skills (including project management reporting and analysis)
  • Effective communicator who can translate data into clear insights for senior stakeholders
  • Storyteller who can craft structured narratives combining sometimes disparate datapoints and themes into compelling stories to spur action at the right moments
  • Can use project management software (Asana) to create project plans, facilitate regular checkpoints, and follow-up with project stakeholders on outstanding tasks
  • Curiosity, growth mindset, and willingness to learn and experiment at speed
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to connect dots, and visual acumen (PowerPoint)
  • Project Management Profession (PMP) is recommended
  • ADKAR/PROSCI Change Management certification is not required, though a differentiator
  • Facilitation/training/teaching skills are not required, though a differentiator
  • HR/industry experience is not required, though a differentiator

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:


This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
