Support the Vice President of Investor Relations and serve as the primary lead on the quarterly earnings communications process, including content development, cross-functional coordination, and timeline management. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Communications, and senior leadership to produce investor-facing materials that strengthen confidence in the investment thesis and enhance the company's positioning with shareholders. Responsibilities- Synthesize investor feedback, sentiment, and questions for the benefit of the senior leadership team and Board of Directors, helping frame potential responses and/or disclosures
- Develop content for investors, industry conferences, investor days, and board meetings
- Compile disclosures and data for use by senior management in meetings/discussions with investors and sell-side analysts
- Develop and execute proactive communications/public relations strategies to reach financial stakeholders; use messaging to enhance and protect Kroger’s reputation and elevate the company’s financial performance narrative
- Develop/manage strategic communications related to financial and company performance, including press releases, conference calls, and Q&A documents for quarterly earnings announcements and calls, annual investor conference, etc.
- Support communications for mergers & acquisitions and other corporate transactions/partnerships, both internal and external
- Provide executive communication and thought leadership support for CFO and finance executives
- Support production of the Chairman’s Annual Letter to Shareholders, Annual Meeting of Shareholders, Annual Business Plan and other corporate publications
- Support investor relations and Corporate Affairs in proactively managing and responding to ESG/CSR investor outreach
- Serve as a company spokesperson on corporate finance and investor relations topics
- Manage the investor relations portion of Kroger’s corporate website
- Serve as a key member on topics that impact the company’s license to operate, including crisis communications and issues management
- Provide foresight and insight, continuously scanning the horizon for evolving, emerging issues/opportunities
- Manage agency and third-party relationships and budgets

- Oversee the CRM/investor tracking platform (S&P Global) to ensure accurate records of investor interactions and engagement history
- Serve as key liaison between Investor Relations and internal partners including Legal, Finance, Corporate Affairs, and business units to ensure alignment of external messaging
- Analyze and summarize macroeconomic, industry, and competitive trends that may impact the company’s financial narrative or investor sentiment
- Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Operational Finance to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across all investor facing materials
- Develop and maintain internal models and analyses that translate operational performance into financial metrics and frameworks most relevant to the investment community
- Monitor peer company earnings calls, investor presentations, and disclosures to benchmark Kroger’s messaging, guidance practices, and transparency against industry standards
- Monitor and analyze sell-side analyst models, estimates, and publish research to identify consensus gaps, emerging themes, and potential areas of investor concern
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- 6+ years of finance experience with a public company, retail/consumer brands, campaign or agency
- Demonstrated financial acumen skills and understanding of accounting, financial analysis, and valuation
- Proven strategic thinker including leveraging AI, analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate effective strategies/solutions
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills
- Proven execution of sound judgment, good instincts and calm under pressure
- Ability to work effectively with senior management and build relationships across all levels of management
- Prior experience with investment community is critical
- Proficient in leveraging AI tools, including large language models and automation platforms — to drive efficiency and elevate the quality of financial communications and analysis
