POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Core Telephony team. You will help design, develop, and maintain the core components of our VoIP infrastructure, working with technologies like Kamailio and FreeSWITCH. This role combines software engineering expertise with deep understanding of voice technologies and deployment practices.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain VoIP-related systems and services
  • Work with SIP, SDP, RTP, and other voice protocols
  • Configure and manage Kamailio and FreeSWITCH platforms
  • Support and debug voice-related incidents (SIP tracing, logs, RTP flow)
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate voice solutions
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle (planning, coding, testing, deploying)
  • Contribute to automated deployment using tools like Ansible and Docker (both required); Kubernetes is a plus


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, SDP, RTP)
  • Hands-on experience with Kamailio and FreeSWITCH • Proficiency in at least one programming language
  • Familiarity with software development tools and processes (Git, CI/CD, testing)
  • Experience with Docker and Ansible (both required)
  • Ability to investigate and resolve voice-related issues and support tickets
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
  • Scripting skills (Bash, etc.) for automation
  • Understanding of telecom architecture (SBCs, media gateways, SIP trunks)
  • Strong grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, NAT, firewalls)
  • Experience working in Linux environments
