“I can succeed as a CSOT Analyst (LDO) at Capital Group.”

The CSOT Analyst plays a key role in supporting effective investment decision-making and outcomes for clients, the investment group, and shareholders by monitoring, analyzing, and resolving operational, data, and system issues.

The Capital System Operations Team supports Short-Term Cash Management, Cash Projections, Fixed Income Investment Cash, Foreign Currency & Position Oversight, and Manager book of record Oversight. Working across Investment Operations, the investment groups, Trading, Legal, technology teams, and other business partners, you will facilitate collaboration between investment operations and technology teams to diagnose issues, assess business impacts, recommend solutions, and support timely resolution.

Operating under limited supervision, you will work independently on recurring responsibilities and controls, seek guidance from a Lead Analyst or manager when appropriate, and may lead complex internal initiatives or projects. You will continuously look for ways to enhance processes, procedures, controls, and documentation. Successful CSOT Analysts are intellectually curious, take ownership, build productive stakeholder relationships, and work effectively through ambiguity to drive toward practical outcomes.

  • Investigate issues, identify root causes and business impacts, facilitate recommendations, and coordinate resolution across relevant teams.
  • Evaluate upstream and downstream dependencies and assess potential impacts to cash, positions, investment decision-making, clients, and shareholders; recommend a course of action and escalate to a Lead Analyst or manager when appropriate.
  • Coordinate and escalate inquiries from Trading, Legal, other Investment Operations teams, the investment group, and business partners.
  • Communicate complex issues, risks, and recommendations clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.

  • Business acumen and the ability to understand stakeholder needs, assess impacts, and connect operational activity to investment and client outcomes.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, work effectively through ambiguity, and drive toward practical outcomes.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn relevant business applications; familiarity with AI-enabled tools and Microsoft Power Platform applications, such as Power BI and Power Automate, is preferred but not required.

Capital Group Compensation & Benefits Highlights

The following summarizes recurring compensation and benefits themes identified from responses generated by popular LLMs to common candidate questions about Capital Group and has not been reviewed or approved by Capital Group.

  • Retirement Support — Retirement support stands out through an employer-funded contribution equal to about 15% of eligible compensation, adding meaningful long-term value to total rewards. A vesting schedule is referenced, but the core retirement benefit is positioned as unusually rich and frequently highlighted as a differentiator.
  • Strong & Reliable Incentives — Incentives are structured around two annual bonuses—one tied to individual performance and another linked to company profitability—creating a predictable bonus framework. In certain senior investment roles, bonus opportunity can be very high relative to base pay, reinforcing the upside for top performers.
  • Inclusive Benefits Coverage — Inclusive coverage is emphasized through fertility benefits (including IVF and egg freezing), pregnancy and menopause support, and adoption/surrogacy assistance. These benefits broaden applicability across different life stages and family-building paths.
