PRIMARY FUNCTION/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION
Bon Secours Mercy Health, Inc., headquartered in Cincinnati, OH, has an opening available for a Core Data Analyst. Residence & remote work permitted anywhere in the U.S. via telecommute. Report to HQ less than 25% to BSMH headquarter office.
The Core Data Analyst is responsible for translating and programming vast amounts of data into understandable, relevant, and actionable information. This role interfaces with business units across the ministry to provide business insights and design and deliver reports. This role is engaged in developing and promoting effective data governance through documentation and adherence of standards to ensure that the information produced is accurate and trusted as the source of truth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Identify and understand, as well as acquire, merge, and transform data from a centralized data warehouse;

Translate data needs of the business to structure and provide recurring data extracts or develop custom solutions for a strategic problem;

Develop and document on-going maintenance of a data governance operation;

Develop effective auditing and validation processes between the source systems and the centralized data warehouse to ensure accurate and timely availability of data;

Develop, test, and deliver reports and extracts from the centralized data warehouse using appropriate Business Intelligence tools; and
-
Integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., public datasets, Excel reports, data warehouse) and work with cross-functional, agile teams to build and deliver solutions;
EDUCATION
Bachelors’ degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent degree accepted).
WORK EXPERIENCE

3 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or closely related role
-
3 years of experience in each of the following:
-
Delivering, testing and providing reports and extracts from data warehouse systems;

Utilizing power BI tools & tableau to develop data visualization and dashboards;

Data modeling concepts such as star-schema modeling, snowflake schema modeling, FACT and Dimension tables; and
-
Database platforms Oracle and SQL Server.

1 year of experience designing and automating reports to aid in business decision making.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
