Job Description

Zendesk is looking for a Copywriter to help deliver beautifully crafted, engaging creative for our billion-dollar company. You’ll work as a mighty creative champion, making sure our work is easy to understand, confident, generous, and mega fresh.

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about their craft, excited to develop new ideas, and ready to work on projects that directly impact the business. You’ll be teaming up with skilled copywriters, filmmakers, producers, animators, and a crew of talented designers—a down to earth and friendly bunch —that will amaze you with their work and their excellent sense of humor.

The day-to-day:

  • Take on a broad range of multi-format, collaborative projects, with deliverables spanning brand identity, social campaigns, interactive reports, and branded content.

  • Support the creation of creative assets that engage, inspire, and connect with our audience – and put a fresh spin on our copy.

  • Lead on smaller projects with autonomy and confidence, presenting your work back to senior creatives and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a copywriter working in creative marketing and/or advertising. Agency experience is a plus, but not required.; experience working in-house does get an extra gold star

  • Expert understanding of writing mechanics and English grammar

  • Good editor and knows how to look at copy holistically

  • Strong concepting and ideation skills, keeping on top of trends across the industry and market-leading creative

  • Ability to collaborate across design, video, digital, other disciplines and across the organization

  • Comfortable presenting to stakeholders, defending decisions, and incorporating feedback

  • Excellent organizational skills

Candidates must include a portfolio. Work samples should show design craft, conceptual thinking, attention to detail, and a variety of experience.

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $86,000.00-$128,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
