SUMMARY
Write and proofread copy for Summit Racing Equipment’s consumer catalogs. This may include product descriptions, feature content, and related marketing materials as needed. Copy must be accurate and concise while conforming to a prescribed style.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as assigned):
- Write creative and compelling product copy, feature articles, and brand building content for consumer catalogs
- Support the established style and voice of all marketing materials
- Work with key departments to obtain product information and ensure accurate product portrayal
- Analyze the quality and completeness of source materials and obtain additional product information through alternate sources
- Present copy for approval, negotiate changes, and correct and revise copy until approved
- Assist other departments with copywriting jobs as necessary
- Proofread coworkers’ copy for style adherence, content, and overall flow
- Proofread an assigned set of catalog pages for errors, consistency, and overall flow throughout the entire production cycle
- Edit new and existing copy as necessary
- Consistently meet deadlines for copywriting and proofreading
- Contribute to workflow, process development, and feature planning
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Four-year English, Advertising, or Journalism degree preferred, or equivalent related experience in Advertising, Direct Marketing, or Journalism.
