About the role:
We are seeking a Copywriter to join our creative team for a new financial services client. The Copywriter will be pivotal in crafting compelling content and creative copy that engages our client's audiences and promotes the brand. The Copywriter will collaborate closely with our Account Project Manager, Motion Designer, and Multimedia Designer as part of an agile, cross-functional team consisting of both agency and client marketers. The collective goal is to enhance creative and strategic marketing across various value streams and marketing channels. As a Mid-Level Copywriter at OLIVER, the role involves developing creative and compelling copy for marketing materials and promotional campaigns. Collaboration with teams is essential to ensure that communications are clear and engaging across various media channels, while also ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role also involves providing editorial and consultative services to clients and stakeholders assuring alignment with the brand's voice and marketing objectives. Our ideal candidate comes from an advertising agency, loves to write, and has worked on various projects. Creativity, strategic thinking, and storytelling prowess will play a pivotal role in shaping the perception of our client's brand and fostering meaningful connections with their audience.
What you will be doing:
- Develop creative and engaging copy for various marketing materials, including advertisements, banners, website content, email campaigns, product descriptions, and more.
- Consult and collaborate with strategists, project managers, scrum masters and designers to understand project scope and objectives.
- Ensure deliverables align with the objectives outlined in the project brief.
- Tailor communications to fit specific channels and strategic goals, ensuring consistency with the client's brand tone and voice.
- Adhere to deadlines and resolve conflicting requests to meet evolving priorities and marketing objectives.
- Stay attuned to industry trends, competitor strategies, audience preferences, and best practices to ensure messaging remains relevant and impactful.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines for all copy produced.
- Ensure communication and brand tone and voice are appropriate for all member-facing communications.
- Develop a deep understanding of the target audience's tone of voice and the client's marketing strategy to drive desired brand actions.
- Occasionally conceptualize and create engaging copy for various marketing materials, including advertising campaigns, product launches, digital media, and social platforms.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate marketing strategies into clear, cohesive, and effective communications.
- Continuously refine and update content by analyzing performance data, incorporating user feedback, and aligning with changing business objectives.
What you need to be great in this role:
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Copywriter in a fast-paced marketing, advertising, or design environment, with a strong emphasis on tone of voice development and implementation.
- 3 years of experience writing copy for collateral, ads, landing pages, banners, websites, digital content, social content, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to combine and translate the brand tone of voice into stories and content that engage and resonate with the target audience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate concepts and provide constructive feedback.
- Exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail and a strong command of AP Style, grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and develop fresh, innovative ideas and a distinctive brand voice.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an aptitude to translate business objectives into compelling narratives.
- Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of writing samples demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain a consistent tone of voice across various formats and channels.
- Experience in copywriting, editing, and proofreading, with proficiency in marketing communication production processes with minimal editorial supervision.
- Proficiency in word processing and editorial applications software.
- Familiarity with SEM/SEO methodologies and best practices is desirable as the role will ensure communications content allows for the latest SEM and SEO capabilities to support market penetration and align with marketing strategic initiatives.
- Strong relationship management skills for effective interaction with various levels of staff and management, including vendors and clients.
- Familiarity with the financial services industry and products is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Workfront and Azure Dev Ops (ADO).
- Agile Methodology Knowledge – SAFe a plus!
- The ideal candidate would be available to start by February 1, 2025.
- At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $95,000.00 to $105,000.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
