Advanced Navigation is looking for a technology content writer to develop intriguing and educational content covering an expansive list of areas from artificial intelligence to robotics with quantum and inertial sensing or celestial space navigation, all the way to the deep sea with sonar - the next frontier is yours to cover.


The role is responsible for writing clear, concise, accurate, and SEO-optimised content related to Advanced Navigation's groundbreaking deep technologies. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, engineers, scientists, and product managers to discover what makes our technologies tick before translating that into informative and search-friendly content pieces.


This role requires a strong understanding of SEO principles and strategies, as well as a passion for learning complex technological concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

 


Role Responsibilities

  • Lead Content Development: Oversee the creation and delivery of SEO-focused content for Advanced Navigation's marketing initiatives.
  • Write Compelling Copy: Produce clear, concise, and persuasive articles and marketing materials that highlight Advanced Navigation’s diverse range of deep tech solutions.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with the digital marketing team, PR/comms, product teams, and subject matter experts to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly content.
  • Optimise Content for Performance: Utilise analytics and performance data to optimise content for sales and marketing purposes, ensuring maximum reach and impact.
  • Craft Effective Messaging: Develop messaging that effectively communicates the value proposition and unique selling points of Advanced Navigation's technology products and services, turning technical features into customer benefits.
  • Plan and Structure Content: Organise technical articles and marketing materials to ensure logical flow, SEO optimisation, and user-friendliness.
  • Tailor Content to Audiences: Identify and understand target audiences for different topics, adjusting language and style to meet the needs of both technical and non-technical users.
  • Conduct Research and Interviews: Engage with customers and partners to extract relevant information for content development.
  • Develop SEO-Friendly Articles: Create compelling, SEO-optimised articles, blogs, whitepapers, and other marketing collateral.
  • Edit and Proofread: Review content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guides and quality standards. Revise and update as necessary.
  • Enhance with Visuals: Collaborate with graphic designers to include diagrams, illustrations, and other visual aids that enhance the content.
  • Maintain Content Libraries: Keep existing content up-to-date with the latest product features and industry trends, archiving outdated materials when necessary.
  • Manage Projects: Coordinate with the communications and marketing team to meet project timelines and deadlines, effectively communicating with stakeholders to gather requirements and address feedback.
  • Stay Informed: Keep abreast of advancements in deep technology, industry trends, SEO strategies, and copywriting best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Enhance personal knowledge and skills in deep technology domains and content analytics.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years relevant experience in copywriting in technology or manufacturing fields with significant expertise in SEO.
  • Proven experience as a technology writer with strong performance skills and a keen interest in analytics to optimise content for sales and marketing.
  • Solid understanding of marketing and communication principles.
  • Significant expertise in SEO principles, strategies, and best practices to create high-ranking content working with both technical and analytical teams to enhance content production. 
  • Experience with content analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) for measuring content performance.
  • Exceptional writing abilities with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style.
  • Creative thinking to develop unique ideas that engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret content performance data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Adaptability to write in various tones and styles suitable for different products, audiences, and platforms.
  • Excellent research skills to gather and assimilate information from reliable internal and external sources.
  • Meticulous attention to detail for accuracy and consistency in proofreading and editing.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and accept feedback.
