About Inspira Education

Inspira Education Group is one of the fastest-growing edtech startups in the US. We started with a simple mission to democratize access to high-quality coaching so that every student in the world has an equal opportunity to access the best opportunities.

As the world’s leading network of top admissions coaches in medical, legal, business, and college studies, we’re building software and services in one place—disrupting long-entrenched application processes with products and experiences that strive to provide an equal platform for candidates from diverse backgrounds worldwide.

As one of the fastest-growing edtech firms in the world, we are backed by some of the leading venture capital firms and investors in the world, including Zeev Ventures, Quiet Capital, Craft Ventures, Jeff Fluhr (Founder of Stubhub), and David Sacks (Former COO of PayPal and Founder of Yammer).

The Role

Do you live for a tagline? Agonize over the perfect ad script? Do oxford commas give you a little thrill? Inspira is looking for a Copy Editor to develop, own, and hone a differentiated brand voice across every touchpoint. You: Are obsessed with words, character creation, and the power of storytelling. Get excited about crafting a compelling brand narrative and editing clear messaging sources of truth. Love working across creative and marketing teams to ensure Inspira’s voice is distinct, consistent, and evolving in all the right ways.

You’ll lead messaging and storytelling across our marketing efforts - from paid campaigns and product launches to creator programs, social content, and brand moments. This is a full-time role for someone who blends strategic thinking with powerful, culturally resonant writing.

You’ll collaborate across performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, SEO, social media, sales, and customer success to create copy that connects with users, drives action, and brings Inspira’s voice to life. Whether it’s a headline for an ad, a landing page for a new coaching program, or the story behind a successful acceptance, your words will help define how the world understands and experiences our programs.

A strong background in writing is key. Beyond a love of writing, you should have firsthand experience creating copy for audiences at different stages of the consideration funnel.

This is an in-person role requiring 5 days/week attendance in our NYC office (Gramercy).

What You'll Do

  • Write high-impact copy across digital ads, landing pages, email campaigns, social content, and other channels
  • Craft compelling product positioning and messaging frameworks to communicate with parents and students considering our services
  • Develop scripts for video content including ads, explainers, and user stories
  • Collaborate closely with designers to create unified visual-verbal storytelling
  • Shape our tone of voice and ensure consistency across all channels and touchpoints
  • Translate brand and growth goals into clear, effective messaging strategies
  • Create copy for lifecycle marketing with a goal of driving more free consultation sign-ups for our sales team
  • Propose bold creative ideas that reflect culture
  • Use creative testing, audience insights, and performance data to refine and optimize messaging
  • Contribute to a growing brand team that values experimentation, empathy, and storytelling

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in copywriting roles across brand, digital, or marketing environments
  • A killer portfolio that demonstrates conceptual strength, writing craft, and range across formats and tones
  • Strong experience writing for product marketing, paid media, video, and storytelling campaigns
  • Exceptional collaboration skills—you’re comfortable giving and receiving feedback, working across teams, and owning your voice in the room
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You’re always learning and growing and can help bring clarity to a fast-moving problem space with more questions than answers
  • Ability to balance creative flair with conversion-focused clarity
  • Self-direction and a proactive mindset in fast-paced, evolving environments
