The Copy Editor is responsible for overall quality assurance for creative produced for a client. He/she understands the brand guidelines of assigned clients and ensures that all creative materials produced are copy-accurate as well as content-accurate and adheres to brand standards.
You will:
- Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of brand guidelines
- Ensure optimal quality of all communications developed for assigned clients, including grammar, spelling, consistency, and content accuracy
- Communicate with project managers to manage time
- Partner with the writers to ensure that the creative vision is achieved
- Actively solicit additional information from writers or client team to ensure content/copy is accurate
- Researches and validates content accuracy
You have:
- 1-2 years of copyediting experience
- Content editing experience is a plus
- Knowledge of grammatical standards/styles
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Able to make good judgment calls
- Able to work in team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work with little to no supervision and direction
