Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
NBCUniversal has an opening for a Tour Coordinator. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team that delivers a one-of-a-kind experience to guests at NBC's home in 30 Rockefeller Plaza. The position reports to the Director of Guest Experience, NBC Studios and is required to work weekends and be on site full time at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
The Coordinator assists in the day-to-day operation and execution of The Tour at NBC Studios, ensuring all Guests coming to 30 Rock have a consistent and memorable experience.
Essential Functions:
• Ensure a great Guest experience for all participants of The Tour at NBC Studios
• Ensure Tour Route is in good condition by walking the route throughout the day, checking for proper operation of all elements, and reporting concerns as necessary
• Performs Leader on Duty functions including adjusting Tour routes as needed, briefing Pages on concerns, sending out a daily recap, and ensuring both opening and closing procedures are done
• Monitor Page attendance and update daily report
• Order supplies as needed
• Maintain the Guest Experience shared calendar
• Assist with creating and publishing "The Tour Daily"
• Assist with Page training as it relates to the Tour
• Act as the liaison between the Guest Experience and A/V Teams to address tech concerns.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Guest service role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to deliver a high level of Guest service in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision and direction.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be available for all shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be willing to work additional hours past scheduled shifts
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• This position is required on-site
Desired Qualifications:
• Previous attraction, museum, or cultural institution experience
• Previous ticketing and sales experience
• Ability to work successfully with a wide variety of people and teams.
Additional Information:
This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
