Coordinator assists with research, presentations, proposals, communication, and administrative functions in the Corporate Partnerships – Revenue Operations department. This position will manage several projects simultaneously, while supporting both the Business Development and Sponsor Relations teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree(s) in Business, Marketing, Finance, Analytics or related field required.
- Minimum two years experience in marketing, advertising, or analytics required. Specific sports marketing, account management, or sales experience preferred.
- Must possess advanced level skills across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with graphics and sales-oriented presentations within PowerPoint preferred.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., tableau), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), database tools (e.g., Alteryx, SQL) a plus.
- Experience managing multiple projects and interacting with corporate executives.
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to seek out and act on feedback and learn quickly.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Assist in the development of various sponsorship relationships that generate revenue, build the PGA TOUR brand, provide player benefits, and enhance the fan experience, including: Official Marketing Partnerships, Title Sponsorships, and other corporate relationships / initiatives.
- Support Business Development Sales Team throughout entirety of sales process (defined below) and engage with Sponsor Relations team on renewal/extension related projects.
- Support Business Intelligence Team on projects to support a sales environment and drive strategic business decisions
- Navigate PGA TOUR partnerships landscape, understanding TOUR assets / value proposition, and build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders. Importantly, build trust and develop strong working relationships with members of the Business Development, Sponsor Relations, and Revenue Operations teams.
- Implement and execute Sales Operations deal process to help expedite overall deal timeline (initial partner meeting to contract signature):
Prospecting
- Work with Business Intelligence team to support overall lead generation and prospecting process.
Presentation Development
- Develop customized materials (brochures, presentations, etc.) for sales team and TOUR leadership based on company objectives, strategic goals, etc.
Proposals
- Develop and draft customized proposals for prospective partners.
- Responsible for communications with key internal stakeholders throughout sales process (e.g., finance, legal, business development, sponsor relations, tournament business, etc.).
- Responsible for any follow-up documents needed during negotiation.
Contract Stage
- Once verbal agreement is reached responsible for filling out Deal Summary and routing to key internal stakeholders.
- Work with legal team to develop initial draft of contract that is routed for internal review.
- Participate in negotiation discussions once partner returns the initial contract draft with redlines
- Assist in transition to Account Management Team (Sponsor Relations).
Deal Close
- Internal correspondence with key stakeholders regarding deal closure / announcement plans.
- Potential for light administrative support to the Business Development team, as needed.
- Special projects to support Corporate Partnerships (Business development, Sponsor Relations) and / or other duties as assigned.
