Position Summary:
Provides operational support to pathologists and the anatomic pathology team by coordinating case workflow from accession through final reporting.
This role is responsible for pathology case distribution, coordination of external consults and specialized testing, material tracking, and documentation within laboratory information systems. The Pathology Support Coordinator ensures accurate, timely, and compliant handling of pathology materials and supports efficient communication between pathologists, laboratory staff, and clinical teams.
Work Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- 7:00am-3:30pm
Required Qualifications:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Associate degree in biology, healthcare, or related field
OR
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience working with computer systems and applications
- Ability to manage work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in biology or healthcare-related field
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Prior experience in laboratory, pathology, or healthcare operations
- Experience with Epic Beaker or laboratory information systems
